Inter-library Loans

The library has access to over 3 million items in Public Libraries all over Western Australia. We can also access items from interstate for research purposes. If we haven't got it we'll try to get it for you. Search the State Library catalogue and fill out the form, or contact us and we can place the order for you.

Esperance History

The Esperance Public Library has a collection of local history resources.

We also work closely with the Esperance Museum and the Esperance Family History Society. The Museum houses Esperance's local newspaper Archive. Hard copies of the Esperance Express may be available from 1991 onwards. Microfilms of the Esperance newspaper will soon be available at the Museum dating back to 1895.

For any of your local history requirements visit us at the library and we can point you in the right direction.

Volunteers

Esperance Public Library has an active volunteer program that enhances the Library's services to the community.

The Esperance Public Library is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to get involved in the new Be Connected Digital Mentor Program. Being a Digital Mentor is about inspiring people to try using digital technology and supporting them through their first steps using computers, mobile devices and the internet.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please contact the Esperance Volunteer Centre. Please note that we may not be able to match your immediate needs and your details may go on a waiting list.
